The LIFe V2 operates with three overall categories of standards: Technical standards (which up to this version have been available in the 'Guidelines on Nationwide Enterprise Architecture (NEA) Standards' and 'Addendum to the NEA Guidelines on Standards Document'), Data standards (which can be found in the limited context of personal data in the LIFe version 0.9.2 and earlier) and Process standards (which is a new category in the LIFe V2).
