eGovernment services must hide the level of complexity behind the services offered to the citizens, businesses and government. Depending on the way the government organizations are organized, a given eGovernment service may require either a single process or several processes to be performed in a given work-flow sequence between various organizations.
The 'process standards', describe common approaches to these work-flows and are particularly concerned with how and where information is sent and processed – and how it is handled.
Through the Government Information Center (GIC) setup by ICTA, numerous government processes which provide specific services to citizens have been identified. However, 'virtual transformation' of these identified processes is yet to happen, which, once completed, would pave the way for the so called one-stop shop for public service delivery.
